Two Year Study Programme – Skills for Independence
The Two Year Study Programme is for learners over 16 with a range of learning and physical disabilities including those with complex medical and therapeutic needs that might need extra help. The course is aimed to give learners skills for independence and employment whilst allowing time for individuals to mature and to try out work based subjects. Learners benefit from small, supportive learning groups.
Learners follow pathways that support mid and long term goals to enhance your progression to adulthood.

Activities for daily Living
All our learners take part in enterprise or work experience both class based and with local employers.
We offer a wide range of options and activities. Our aim is to get everyone ready for the next step in life whether it is independent or supported living, Life skills or Supported Employment. Learners will study Numeracy and Literacy and Achieve Qualifications at Entry level.
From the study programme you will progress to other college courses including Preparation for Supported Internships, Supported Internships or Enhance study programme moving on course.
No formal qualifications are required but it is important to have the determination and motivation to meet the needs of the ever changing world of work. There is also an emphasis on study skills and working as a team throughout the course.

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
The course is free to full time learners with an EHCP.
