Pathway to Employment

This is a one year programme for learners over 16 who have additional needs and who want to move into the work of employment. Progressing from a study programme learners in their second year will be enrolled in an Employability Programme. Learners will also be achieving formal Employability qualifications as well as in functional skills Maths, English and ICT.

You will gain skills for independence and employment in work based subjects in different work settings.

You will follow a pathway that will support your mid and long term goals to support your progression to employment.

Some of the vocational options are:
Animal Care
Sport and Fitness                   

All our learners take part in enterprise work, activities for daily living and also a travel training.

part in enterprise or work experience both class based and with local employers.

We offer a wide range of options and activities. Our aim is to get everyone ready for the next step in life whether that is independent or supported
or Unsupported Employment. Learners will study Numeracy and Literacy and achieve qualifications at Entry Level.

Moving on…
From the Pathway to Employment learners will progress into Voluntary Supported or Unsupported Employment or they may Progress to a Supported Internship

Entry Requirements
You need no formal qualifications but it is important to have the determination and motivation to meet the needs of the ever changing world of work. There is also an emphasis on study skills and working as a team throughout the course.

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

Course Cost
The course is free to full time learners with an EHCP.
