Enhanced Study Programme – Moving on Course
The Enhanced Study Programme is a one year course for learners over 16 who have additional needs. This course is ideal for young people who want to move into a Skills for Life Programme but would benefit from a transitional year to prepare them for the next step to adulthood.
It is also a bridge programme for those returning from other providers who want to integrate back into their community and develop independence and interdependence skills.
The aim of this programme is to enable the smooth transition from a college based study programme to a community based, sustainable social enterprise or Skills for Life Programme which can then be developed further in the future.
Learners will be able to continue to develop some of the enterprises they explored during the two year of Study
Programme, continue to develop communication skills, independence, autonomy and the ability to make choices and decisions.
We offer a wide range of options and activities. Our aim is to get everyone ready for the next step in life whether that is independent or supported living, Life Skills or Supported Employment. Learners will study Numeracy, Literacy and Achieve qualifications at Entry Level.
Following the Enhanced Study Programme learners will progress into a Skills for Life programme, a community based supported living or social enterprise where they will continue their journey into adulthood.
