VOCATIONAL LEARNING

Work Experience for Employers

Horizons College is a specialist provision for young adults aged 19-25 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and/or complex needs. Whilst at Horizons, our learners will progress and optimise their employability and life skills through a carefully structured programme. Experience gained in the work place is a vitally  important element as many learners aim to gain voluntary or paid employment when they leave us.

Our goal is to match learners with appropriate work experience placements that are beneficial to both the learner and the workplace provider. We have a very positive and productive relationship with many employers in and around Swindon and would be very interested in adding you to our list of supporters.

Within our current cohort, we have learners successfully participating in Work Experience in various settings including:retail, café work, lighting maintenance and repair, hospitality, food preparation, reception work, radio broadcasting and packaging and assembly.

If you would like to find out more then please contact Laura James, Work Experience Coordinator at Headlands College on 01793 286631.
